We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Product Manager who will help deliver the next generation of SLI’s industry leading search, navigation, and merchandising solutions. This high impact role, based in Christchurch, New Zealand, will play a key role in driving SLI’s new product strategy, execution and prioritization.
Responsibilities
Define and communicate product requirements by working directly with SLI’s customers, staff and partners
Collaborate closely with the engineering team to drive product development, prioritizing features at the release level
Measure and report on the success of new products
Partner with marketing to help define product strategy, including pricing, positioning, and competitive analysis
Communicate key product benefits to staff, prospects, customers, and industry analysts
Serve as the subject matter expert for your products
Create and present product marketing content (presentations, whitepapers, case studies, data sheets, etc.)
Manage technology relationships with strategic partners
Report to the VP of Product Management
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: Engineering or science degree
5+ years product management experience in an internet technology business
Proven experience in setting direction, prioritizing development activities, and driving new product development
Previous partner management, business development, or management consulting experience a plus
Strong interpersonal skills; able to prioritize and focus in a dynamic environment
Exceptional technical aptitude; to be successful you will need to understand the technical capabilities of multiple products; web programming skills a plus
User empathy. Demonstrated ability to collect end-user feedback and understand customer issues
Excellent writing and speaking skills
